The best  possible  way to experience the wonders of the aquatic life is <strong>snorkeling  underwater</strong>.  Also it is available all through the Hawaiian area.</p>
<p>There are four major spots in Maui that are best for <strong>Maui  snorkeling</strong>.  These are actually preserves, which needs to be taken extra care when  you are  discovering these areas. These spots comprise the Ahihi Bay, Molokini  Crater,  Honolua Bay, the Oluwalu Turtle Reef and a part of the La Perouse Bay.  Let us  give a closer look to them. Please note that these Maui snorkeling spots  are  protected by laws. Therefore, it is necessary from your part too to  protect  these sanctuaries. One important rule is never walk or stand on corals.</p>
<p><strong>Ahihi Bay:</strong> This is the best site and most popular site  considered for  Maui snorkeling. The location of snorkeling spot is the Ahihi Marine  Preserve.  The exact location is towards the south of the Makena Big Beach. You can  observe  different types of fish and eye-catching coral reefs abound. If you  leave few  bits of fish food you will find numerous amounts of tropical fishes  enjoying the  titbits you have just tossed. This is best thing about this Maui  snorkeling  spot.</p>
<p><strong>Molokini Crater Nature Preserve:</strong> This is another most popular  Maui  snorkeling expedition. This Maui snorkeling spot is shallow and circular  in  shape. The most interesting fact of this site is it serves as the heart  of  aquatic life that inhabit here are rocks of volcanic origin.</p>
<p><strong>Honolua Bay:</strong> This Maui snorkeling spot is located north of  Kaplua on  route no. 30. Many reviews say that Honolua Bay is best for snorkeling  during  the summer when the ocean water is calm.</p>
<p><strong>Oluwalu Turtle Reef:</strong> If you want to observe some sea turtles  then this  should be your ideal spot for snorkeling. This is a protected sanctuary.  You can  find charming and calm sea turtles that live in the clear water.  Varieties of  fishes too are found here. In two words “don’t miss”.</p>
<p><strong>La Perouse Bay:</strong> This Maui snorkeling spot is named after the  first  western (a French navigator) to set foot in Maui – Jean de Francois La  Perouse.  It is nestled south to the Ahihi Marine Preserve. Even though the place  has a  barren land, the quality and quantity of aquatic life it offers makes it  a  awesome place for snorkeling.</p>
